Do you really have to sue? The real value of mediation

Litigation isn’t the only path — and sometimes not the best one. We weigh mediation across three dimensions: cost, time, and relationships.

When clients first come to us, they’ve often already resolved to “fight to the end.” But emotional resolve and the rational best strategy are not always the same thing.

A lawsuit can take one to three years. The time cost, legal fees, and the unquantifiable mental toll all belong in the calculation. Mediation requires compromise, but it often gets you back to normal life and business far sooner.

Of course, some cases can only be resolved by judgment — when the other side has no genuine intent to settle, or when a definitive legal ruling is needed. Our job is to help you see clearly which kind you’re in.
